How did Creative Models form?
Creative Models Australia ( CMA ) was formed in Dec 2007 by Glen Burns. Having recently re entered modelling again, a lot of kits, and aftermarket parts that Glen wanted were not available in the Australasian region, so after contacting these manufacturers, Creative Models Australia was born, distribution agreements where put in place, and the list of manufacturers rapidly grew to what
you see now. |

Who is Creative Models Australia ?
CMA is owned and operated by Glen Burns. Glen has over 25 years of modelling and industry experience.
Introduced to modelling at a very young age by his father, Glen's main modelling comprised of radio control aircraft. At this stage predominately powered, and competition gliders. Glen would also travel around the country with his father competing at national gliding competitions.
Glen was also introduced to plastic modelling at a young age by his father, and like most kids of that age enjoyed the hobby a lot, with the building and finishing progressing with age.
With the RC aircraft hobby also moving rapidly forward, Glen became involved in ducted fan aircraft, and not long after turbine powered jet aircraft.
This saw Glen compete for Australia at the biannual World Jet Masters held in Thailand . Glen was the team's crew chief, and due to his skills was also employed by other countries at the same time to crew chief for their teams.
After having a break from modelling and RC aircraft for a few years, Glen rapidly jumped back into the scene when he saw some new kits released. And with this leading into wanting more kits, accessories and details, CMA was soon formed.
Glen does not have any one main area of interest in modelling, and has and does still model cars, boats/ships, aircraft and military. |

How do the pre release sales work?
Pre release sales is an ongoing pre purchasing system set up for trade and retailer to obtain products from new manufacturers, new releases, out of stock items and when we do our monthly orders.
The pre release system allows you to order directly to us, what items you want, before we order. This ensures that you get your products earlier, easier and more efficiently. |
